Generic chord progressions, usually catchy, meaningless lyrics, nothing too out of the ordinary. Not saying that it takes absolutely no skill to produce because there is  some work to do, but it's nothing too difficult to produce. I'm personally starting to find that majority of the top 40 electronic music sounds similar and is hard to differentiate because they all use the exact same formula to create. Over in the U.K. Electronic Music has been reaching Top 40 charts for quite some time. Are these new artists taking this approach to these genres to make a quick buck and in the process stripping away the soul of what Electronic Music? However, I do enjoy the fact that this music has been bridging fans of different genres together. The explaination can possibly be found in "art recreates art" &amp; "music influences music."
